About this program

Your Choice: Responding mindfully to stress explores how to effectively use mindfulness as a strategy to reduce stress. The program helps you to be more present in your life, deal with painful thoughts and emotions, and move from reacting to stress to responding. 

Highlights include:

Each week you will have access to video content, at-home extended mindfulness practices, Psych.Live. webinars where you have live access to Jade and Dave to ask questions specifically relevant to you, worksheets to apply the strategies directly to your life, and discussion boards to post questions and thoughts for Jade and Dave to address.

Our experts

Mental Health Occupational Therapist

Jade Nicholls

Jade is a passionate mental health Occupational Therapist with experience working across both inpatient and outpatient programs in public and private mental health, working primarily with adults. She is a registered Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy teacher with the Mindfulness Training Institute of Australasia, and is experienced in facilitating a range of psychotherapy groups including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

Clinical Psychologist

David Demmer

David has a passion for building stronger mental health at a community level. A clinical psychologist whose career has focused on treatment and research in mental health, David is passionate about improving the lives of Australians both inside and outside of his work.

  • Psych.Tools. Handouts and worksheets to be able to apply the knowledge and strategies to your own life.

At Psych.School. we recognise the impact coronavirus has had on individual livelihoods. Your Choice: Responding mindfully to stress has two pricing options:

Standard price: $120 for the program.

Supported price: $80 for the program (for those who may be experiencing financial hardship due to coronavirus).

  • Is Psych.School. right for you?

    Psych.School. and its programs are for you if you are wanting to explore psychological strategies to protect and increase your mental wellbeing. They are designed to support mood, but are not designed to treat mental health disorders. These programs do not replace psychological therapy. If you are experiencing mental health issues then please ensure you seek immediate support from your general practitioner, or contact LifeLine on 13 11 14. If you feel your safety is in immediate danger, then please contact emergency services on 000.

  • What if I can't attend the Psych.Live.? Will it be recorded?

    Psych.Live. is a live Q&A and give you access to our experts. As this is an interactive component, this component will not be available on-demand.

  • What if I fall behind?

    Don't worry, you can go at your own pace and the content will not expired after four weeks. However, the program has been based around 4 weeks and our experts are only monitoring forums and questions during those four weeks.

  • How will the program benefit me?

    Throughout our programs, you will gain insight into proven strategies to support your mental wellbeing. Our programs are based on scientific research, not 'buzz-word' psychology.  Our goal is to teach psychological practices that will have lasting positive impacts on your mental health.
